Bad Apple

Bad apple- they are multiple versions of this animation but i will be talking about the three if aver the most.

Bad apple [MMD]

In this version (i believe was the original) uses an animating program know as [MMD] >see previous blog<. Costume models and scenery was used to create this animation, the characters are in full colure and well animated, as well as the full detail can be seen including depth, the down side to this is most transfers look “buggy” but apart from that [MMD] was used well even with its limitations

Bad apple CGI (shadow art)

In this version of bad apple, i can’t decide rather a filter or program was used to remove the original animation [MMD] of its colures and deaths. Or if it was a re-drawn version of Bad Apple. Either way this version is simple a black and white 2D cell animation. I like this version better because its motion and transfer looks smother and better overall.

Bad apple stop motion

This version of bad apple is by far my favourite. In this version one mad had taken each frame of the animation and placed it accordingly onto a 2 by 8 grid, after this he printed out all 7.000 frames and set to work on animating each frame one after another. But his didn’t limited his creativity, in parts some transfers exceeded the original frames bonders (4 leaf transfer). But the part i like the best is when the witch aches the apple and flies off to words the building in the distance. This was not done on a desk, instead he used fishing wire and had the which suspended in mid are and having the cmora curcal the model and the room as it flies.
