Animatic

Animatic is a series of still images taken for the story bored and played in sequence to determine an parapet timing for each frame or action, this would usually be supported by a basic sound track and or sound effects. An animatic is usually made after the completion of a story bored and would be shown to the ‘director’ or animators, and to see if any changes need to be made, if something happens to fast or too show, or if a scene simply doesn’t fit or work.

An animatic is important to the development process, by using an animatic less time and money is wasted on animating/filming and editing. A story bored will only give you a single view and no sense of timing and space.
