As said previously, I had planned on just re using Mika, and
making a new version of her as Little Red riding Hood, but after the concept
was done it would be more fitting to 1st take the Mika model and
take it backwards to a back mesh (mainly
keeping her face area and hair the same). And re model/ design her cloths and
proportions to match.
The set used for the CoP artefact, Mika's bedroom will stay
un changed, will the toon shader will be replaced with textures.
And finally the Wolf, I am able to make this process a lot
faster. Last year when I did Project Brothers Revenge (Responsive) it had a
Black Wolf in the story, an asset I can use again, HOEVER! The model was made
inside Blender, and it can be exported out to Maya with its textures (that I’ll
replace) but the Rig and weight/heat paints will be lost, meaning I will need
to make a new Rig (reason of this is blender uses a different system called
modifiers to bind a mesh to a rig)
(Update note: some times short cuts are a good thing, but some times the "short Cut" can infarct make your work load longer... as said above i had already made a wolf for Brother Revenge, but that was in blender, and during the Exporting process something happened to the models normals.. Mainly some were flipped, and other were broken. and other were on odd angles, i have no idea what was going on and after wasting countless hours trying to fix it, i gave up
The reason this was a problem was because i was planning on using Fur but for un know reasons it was taking for ever to render...so i opted just to do a texture it... with an odd turn of fate, oddly the Fur sim started to work properly. tho it still took time to render,.
another shortcut mentioned was using Mika from CoP. she was fairly simple to modify,, but it meant i had to re make her tig, since i changed her body portions, how ever her hair didn't need to be chained just had to unbind it, move the hair joints around (since i scaled it down on the X)
But they was one Tiny problem, i had to re do her Blend shapes...
