Following a confiscating with two of my tutors, it was
pointed out to me that the beginning of the story was good, the ending was
interesting, but the middle was both confusing and made no sense. Not in the
sense that it was random, more to the event where Red runs away from the Grey
Wolf…the same Wolf that been protecting her and trying to guide her out of the
woods… this was a good point, it didn’t make since. So back to the drawing
bored with that one. After a few hours of re writing, AND deciding what Alt
events I wanted to use/ edit together, I finally finished the final draft.

Little Red Riding Hood is leaving her house with a basket of muffins and a small note reading
“Little Red
please takes this basket of muffins to your Granny,
be polite and don’t leave the path for any reason,”
Little Red is part way into her journey down the boring path
where she picks up a twig and starts tapping it against the fence separating
the path from the forest. She starts to playfully swing the twig until till she
loses her grip. The twig flies off into the nearby forest area and disturbs a
small flock of butterflies, the butterflies scatter attracting the attention of
Little Red. Little Red jumps over the fence and follows the butterflies into the
forest trying to catch them. As Little Red ventures deeper into the woods she
loses track of the butterflies as her attention is instantly drawn to a cluster
of pretty flowers. She happily darts towards the flowers but she ends up
running straight into the side of a medium sized Grey Wolf.
(Event1)
As the Wolf turns towards her snarling, startled by the Grey Wolf, Little Red takes a step back tripping over the basket and falling to the ground. As Little Red falls she tries to regain her balance by putting her hand out beside her however she brings her hand down onto a sharp jagged rock causing her to flinch. Little Red looks down at her hand and notices a Trickle of blood but she’s quickly disturbed by the sound of the Grey Wolf as it approaches her.

As the Grey Wolf comes closer Little Red tries to shuffle
back away from the beast. As the Grey Wolf gets closer in she closes her eyes and puts
out her injured hand in front of her face fearing the worst; however this is
not the case, the Grey Wolf doesn’t attack Little Red, she opens her eyes to
meet the wolfs gaze as it licks Little Reds injured hand. Looking at her hand
she realises this Wolf means no harm but she’s unsure. As Little Red picks up
the basket of muffins and flowers, she notices the Grey Wolf’s gaze focus upon
her so she offers the Grey Wolf a Muffin from the basket.

Come Forth to the Middle
The two of them walk side by side through the woods towards
the path, as they both walk Little Red quickly gets distracted by another group
of butterfly’s moving in the distance and she creeps over to investigate, the
Grey Wolf sits by waiting, listening until he notices something looming in the
nearby bushes. Noticing this the Grey wolf wonders over to Little Red and
softly head-butts her in the side to make her go back towards the path and away
from this area, as Little Red moves from the area the Grey Wolf turns to the
area of distraction and snarls...
Now back on track with the Grey Wolf close by Little Reds
side she notices he’s acting on edge this makes her a little worried too but it
doesn’t last long. Multiple times the Grey Wolf has heard a sound or sees
something moving within the bushes where Little Red keeps wondering off to, and
each time Little Red wonders off the Grey Wolf stops her from getting too near
the bushes, The Grey Wolf has also stopped Little Red from tripping over
branches a few times, this constant lack of awareness for her surroundings and
the danger she might be in is testing the Wolfs patience and inner instincts.
Event2
Some time passes and Little Red finds herself getting bored
and ever more easily distracted and the Grey Wolf ever more irritated by Little
Reds lack of attention, as she walks by the Wolfs side she pats him gently on
the head, The Grey Wolf doesn’t like this and pulls away from her lightly
growling. Seemingly unbothered by this she attempts to stroke the Wolf’s face.
A sound of a twig snapping close alerts the Grey Wolf causing him to raise his
head and look to the location of the sound. This sudden sharp movement startles
Little Red and she steps backwards towards some bushes. The Wolf notices
something and starts growling. Then bolts towards her at great speed growling
and knocks her aside as he leaps head first into the bushes, little Red
stumbles backwards and trips over a fallen branch. This leads Little Red to
slide down a small hill into some bushes and branches..
It comes to an End
Little Red emerges from the woods landing face down, as she
gets up she has a few scrapes and scratches here and there and a few tears on
her lovely Red Cloak. She finds herself back on the path a few feet away from
Granny’s House; Little Red looks around towards the Forest. With no sign of the
Grey Wolf Little Red makes her way towards Granny’s House and as she approaches
the gate, she becomes un-eased as if something is watching for her. As she walks
past the gate she notices the door is slightly open and there are few large scratches
along the door frame. Little Red slowly pushes the door open and makes her way
into the house.
Not too far down the path our old Friend the Grey Wolf
emerges from the woods slightly worse for wear, he looks down the path and sees
Little Red by Granny’s House, Now on the path with a direct line of sight he
sees something Little Red has yet to notice. Without hesitation the Grey Wolf
runs down the path towards Little Red with great speed and determination. Unaware
that the Grey Wolf is bounding in her direction, Little Red peers inside the darkened
House but she stops, Frozen in terror. In front of her stands a large figure
almost twice her size with large glowing eyes and large razor sharp teeth (and
claws?).
Looking outwards towards the little Girl the Figures stands
up growling, the little girl maintaining constant eye contact as the figures
shadow looms over her. As the shadowy beast lungless towards the girl the Grey
Wolf can be seen maar meters away from the girl…SNAP!

True Ending
BANG! The sudden sound of an open window banging in the wind
wakes the girl with such a fright! She sits up in her bed with a worried look
upon her face as she looks around the room as the window bangs once more making
her jump, she gets up and closes the window before getting off the bed to pick
up the book that she had been reading and rests it upon the table. With a sigh
she grabs her teddy and gets back into bed and tries to sleep once more…
“There are no happy endings when you fail to
follow the path and keep your head out of the clouds… or is there?”.
